Everyone needs to escape Dubai once in a while, and we think we have found the perfect hideaway – Zighy Bay, Oman.
Just a short drive from Dubai (under 2 hours) – makes this the ideal place to head after a long week in the office, and working in PR, our weeks are certainly that!
Whether you want to kick back by your private pool, bury yourself into a good book in the shaded Majlis area on your private terrace or try your hand at some extreme sports including microgliding or mountain biking….Zighy really has it all covered!
Based beneath the mountains of Oman - the views are breathtaking and there are a couple of ways to savour them. The Edge is one of the fabulous restaurants in the resort, nestled into the Oman mountains way up high with a spectacular viewing deck, or for the more adventurous you can strap on a chute and jump straight off the mountain and paraglide your way down to the beach below. And yes, I did.
My only recommendation would be to leave your Loubs at home. As much as I hate to say this, there really is no need…I even left my hair straighteners behind. It was a real treat to leave the glam back in Dubai and soak up the luxury of Zighy Bay in the comfort of my harems, wriggling my toes in the warm sand of the Gulf of Oman.
